The Ruhr University Research School in cooperation with Evonik Industries offers 1 grant for doctoral studies amounting to 1.500 Euro monthly for 3 years.
The dissertation to be sponsored in Media Studies should focus the research area of
General Ecology of Media and Technology. History, Issues, and Perspectives/
Allgemeine Ökologie der Medien und Techniken. Geschichte, Fragen, Perspektiven.
The PhD-project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Erich Hörl (Institute for Media Studies) and will be part of the interdisciplinary doctoral research group “Reconsidering Industries”.
Deadline for application is September 1, 2011.
Project proposals are welcome either in German or in English. The earliest start of funding will be October 15, 2011.
