SUMMARY:Final Annual Conference of the DFG Graduate Research Training Group “Documentary Practices: Excess and Privation” (Grako “Das Dokumentarische“)
DESCRIPTION:The third annual conference of the DFG Research Training Group “Documentary Practices. Excess and Privation” which will take place from May 8-10\, 2025 at the Kunstmuseum Bochum represents both the conclusion and the imminent disbanding of a research context that has grown for nine years. We thus suggest that we think about the documentary with regard to its ends and that we direct our focus to liminal medial and aesthetic figures of documentary modes of existence in scholarly disciplines and the arts. SUMMARY:Excess & Privation | GRK 2132 Farewell Celebration (Grako “Das Dokumentarische“)
DESCRIPTION:Vom 08.-10.05.25 findet die dritte und letzte Jahrestagung „404 Not Found. Documentary Ends“ des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs „Das Dokumentarische. Exzess und Entzug“ im Kunstmuseum Bochum statt. Das Programm der Tagung\, das neben verschiedenen Panels u.a. auch Keynotes von Wendy Chun und Amanda Lagerkvist sowie einen Artist Talk mit Christa Sommerer und Laurent Mignonneau beinhaltet\, ist hier online zu finden.  \n\n\n\nUm den Abschluss des über neun Jahre gewachsenen Forschungszusammenhangs gebührend zu feiern\, veranstalten wir am Abend des letzten Konferenztages eine Party\, zu der wir hiermit alle ganz herzlich einladen\, die mit dem Graduiertenkolleg auf die eine oder andere Weise verbunden sind. Die GRK 2132 Farewell Celebration findet am Samstag\, den 10.05.2025\, ab 20 Uhr im Schlegel Kultur Club (Willy-Brandt-Platz 5\, 44787 Bochum) statt.  \n\n\n\nDer Eintritt ist frei\, die Veranstaltungsräume sind nicht barrierefrei zugänglich. Nach kurzen Redebeiträgen ab 22:30 Uhr wird das musikalische Programm von verschiedenen Wegbegleitenden des Graduiertenkollegs bestritten.
